In a new short film series called Remote Raving Scenes, Vuse documents the current state of electronic music around the world, exploring the ways that ravers are experiencing the sounds of their favorite DJs as they look to escape, unwind, and reset.

It will come as no surprise that nightlife has shrunk massively over the past few years. As detailed in a recent report by the Night Time Industries Association, daytime events have grown by 82% since 2022, almost three times faster than the nightlife industry that has led to closures of venues and clubs in big cities.

With ravers being more selective in their choice of music events, the short films will hone in on the parties and festivals gaining momentum, particularly those held in off-grid locations. And while events in jungles, deserts, and further afield are not a new phenomenon, the theme centers around why these are now resonating with an audience who look for a deeper connection to electronic music, as culture shifts from passive entertainment to intentional participation.

To kick off the series, Vuse spotlights Tomorrowland Winter with acclaimed Drum and Bass DJ, Charlie Tee. Titled Unwind in the Mountains, the short film transports audiences to the mountain location of Alpe d’Huez in France in a unique look at how electronic music is adapting and thriving in new forms. Check out the visuals in the gallery above.
