Aimé Leon Dore is officially bringing its distinct New York flavor to the West Coast. The beloved lifestyle and streetwear brand has announced the grand opening of its highly anticipated Los Angeles flagship store, located directly in the heart of West Hollywood on Melrose Avenue. Blending considered, high-end design with a welcoming sense of familiarity and home, the newly imagined space seamlessly continues ALD’s elevated, community-focused approach to retail.
Developed in close collaboration with New York-based design firm Sarita Posada Interiors, the flagship’s architecture draws heavy inspiration from the character of old European houses. Soft stucco walls and custom wood windows invite guests into a Mediterranean-inspired oasis. A charming cobblestone courtyard serves as the bridge between the retail area and the in-house café. Anchored by a massive 80-year-old olive tree sourced from the Central Valley, the sun-warmed outdoor space is complete with vintage seating, pale gravel, and warm clay tones.
Inside, the premium retail environment features a rich mix of warm wood and limestone. The brand’s signature collections are elegantly displayed in a sun-drenched room sitting beneath a pair of skylights. ALD loyalists will instantly recognize the brand’s hallmarks integrated throughout the interior, including hand-carved emblems, curated vintage furnishings, mosaic wall panels, and a signature Tyrrell Winston art sculpture.
Matching the energy of the brand’s New York and London flagships, the adjoining café boasts deep-green millwork and a striking marble mosaic incorporating brass motifs by the late Greek artist Alekos Fassianos. At the center of it all sits the familiar custom Café Leon Dore / La Marzocco Linea 2 espresso machine, ready to serve up the brand’s signature beverages.
To celebrate the grand opening on Friday, April 17th, the Los Angeles flagship will be fully stocked with the brand’s latest Spring/Summer ‘26 collection. Bringing the heat for local fans, the store will also offer a highly coveted assortment of location-exclusive products, including limited-edition colorways of the ALD x New Balance 471 and a special-edition LA Dodgers Unisphere Tee.
