Louis Vuitton and House Ambassador j-hope have officially launched the j-hope x Louis Vuitton LV Buttersoft Sneaker, a collaborative effort driven by Menswear Creative Director Pharrell Williams. Arriving in a bright rose and white colorway, the 2000s-inspired silhouette was originally conceived as a custom, comfort-focused companion for the BTS member’s world tour before evolving into a highly anticipated global release.
The footwear combines the effortless movement of a track runner with the meticulous nature of Louis Vuitton’s Italian leathercraft. Built atop a springy, layered rubber outsole, the upper is enveloped in an ultra-soft calf suede. The design applies a near-tailored approach to everyday wear, integrating hand-stitched and hand-painted elements throughout its construction. To anchor the shoe in the House’s heritage, leather enchapes are placed on the toe and heel, directly echoing the reinforcement details found on Louis Vuitton’s iconic luggage and bags.
