Summary

  • OMHU launches a limited TEDDY Sofa in Zebra textile, adding bold personality to its iconic sofa bed
  • Campaign video, directed by Sally Trier, playfully flips the script on minimalism
  • The legless, minimalist design transforms easily into a double bed or conversation pit

Danish furniture brand OMHU has announced a limited-edition launch of its signature TEDDY sofa, reimagined in a striking Zebra textile. This bold update marks a departure from the brand’s traditional solid-color palette, offering a “wild” aesthetic designed to challenge the prevalence of neutral, beige interiors.

To debut the new look, OMHU released a campaign film directed by AI visionary Sally Trier and produced by the brand’s in-house agency. The campaign draws a cheeky parallel between home decor and the internet’s obsession with extreme dog makeovers, emphasizing the transformative power of bold design choices.

The TEDDY itself is a multifunctional sofa bed defined by its minimalist construction and classic comfort. Notably, the design eschews traditional legs and intricate metal mechanisms, opting instead for a streamlined form that can be effortlessly converted into a spacious double bed or a “conversation pit”. The new Zebra fabric is the first patterned option introduced to the collection, providing a high-contrast, graphic element to the piece’s soft, low-profile silhouette.

As a limited drop, the Zebra edition adds a collectible edge to OMHU’s portfolio, appealing to design enthusiasts who value both practicality and personality. For more information, head over to OMHU’s webstore.
