Summary

  • NEIGHBORHOOD’s latest Katharine Hamnett capsule fuses London’s radical slogan fashion with Tokyo streetwear
  • Key pieces include jackets, shirts and tees emblazoned with slogans such as “MAKE TROUBLE QUESTION EVERYTHING,” “KNOWLEDGE IS POWER” and “CHOOSE LOVE NOT WAR”

NEIGHBORHOOD has teamed up with iconic British designer Katharine Hamnett once again to release a collaborative capsule that embraces London’s radical political fashion history and Tokyo’s street culture.

Hamnett is renowned for her pioneering use of bold “slogan” t-shirts in the 1980s to champion social and environmental causes. She finds a new canvas in NEIGHBORHOOD’s rugged, military-influenced silhouettes. As with the duo’s previous collaborations, this new capsule serves as both a retrospective of Hamnett’s defiant activism and a modern reinterpretation of her motifs.

The range is anchored by several standout technical and graphic pieces, including the KH. SHELL Jacket, a high-performance outer layer featuring co-branded detailing and Hamnett’s signature oversized typography. Other key items include the KH. Work Shirt, which blends utility aesthetics with protest-driven slogans, and a series of heavyweight jersey T-shirts emblazoned with iconic phrases like “MAKE TROUBLE QUESTION EVERYTHING,” “KNOWLEDGE IS POWER” and “CHOOSE LOVE NOT WAR” in stark, high-contrast lettering. The design features emphasize durability and a “washed-out” vintage feel, utilizing premium cotton and technical nylons in a strictly neutral palette of black, olive drab, and charcoal grey.

Priced from $86 – $428 USD, the capsule is scheduled for an official release on March 21 through NEIGHBORHOOD’s flagship stores and website.
