Summary

  • The presentation, titled mine eyes, blurs the line between runway and theater through living tableaux that explore the “soul” of fabrics and the mystery of movement

  • The collection utilizes optical illusions, featuring lacquered denim that mimics leather and crushed velvets that shimmer like metal, alongside surrealist accessories that hide functional secrets

  • Inspired by Roland Topor’s lucid dreams and Eastern silhouettes, the designs blend structured Western archetypes with fluid Mandarin jackets and domestic comfort

For Fall/Winter 2026, Lemaire transcends the traditional runway, dissolving the boundary between fashion and avant-garde theater. In a poetic partnership with Nathalie Béasse, the collection, titled mine eyes, unfolds as a series of living tableaux where time seems to suspend. It is a world where fabrics possess a voice and objects harbor souls, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that balances the tangible with the illusory.

The women’s collection celebrates a moonlit metamorphosis. Materials are chosen for their deceptive qualities: crushed velvet takes on a metallic glisten, while lacquered denim mimics the deep sheen of aged leather. Draping is used not just as a technique but as a narrative tool—asymmetrical folds and pleated slits dance against the body, creating layers of visual mystery. This surrealist edge extends to the accessories, where utilitarian objects like key-shaped pendants conceal corkscrews, and playful forms like seashells and starbursts punctuate the silhouette.

Central to the season’s spirit is the “lucid dream” world of Roland Topor. His fierce, rebellious pencil lines are translated into a tactile grammar of dry silk threads and spiny reliefs, bringing his black humor into the third dimension. This artistry meets the urban landscape through meteorological prints of stormy skies and “metereological camouflage,” designed for the modern wanderer.

The men’s collection grounds this ethereal vision in a fusion of Western archetypes and Eastern suppleness. Traditional trench coats and mohair suits are softened by an “Eastern breeze,” most notably in the Mandarin jackets recrafted in supple calfskin. By pairing sharp tailoring with domestic slippers and pops of neon amber or mint green, Lemaire achieves a rare harmony between high sophistication and the intimate comfort of home.
