Summary

  • AMI marked its 15th anniversary at Paris Fashion Week with a FW26 collection inspired by a Rubik’s Cube’s transformative spirit
  • Bold silhouettes and vibrant colors defined both the menswear and womenswear lineup, mixing oversized outerwear, balloon shapes and bold accents

AMI celebrated its 15th anniversary at Paris Fashion Week with a Fall/Winter 2026 runway collection that balances heritage with a playful, modular spirit. Staged in a raw, industrial Haussmannian space on the Champs-Élysées, the presentation marked a new chapter for the brand while remaining rooted in its founding principles. Creative Director Alexandre Mattiussi drew inspiration from the multi-faceted nature of a Rubik’s Cube, suggesting that a single modification in styling or detail can entirely transform a look. This concept translates into a wardrobe designed for the “everyday reality” of Parisian streets, emphasizing a livable elegance where casual items are mixed freely with sophisticated tailoring.

The collection features confident silhouettes characterized by natural volumes and a distinct Parisian attitude. Menswear explores a play on proportions, juxtaposing long, expansive lines with cropped, cleaner cuts, while womenswear introduces structural volume around the hips while maintaining fluid movement. Signature balloon shapes and oversized outerwear dominate the runway, emphasizing durability and timeless quality. The palette is particularly vibrant, anchoring elegant neutrals with bold accents of emerald green, saffron, royal blue and varied intensities of red, alongside softer shades like sky blue and vanilla.

Textural depth and graphic rhythm are central to the season’s aesthetic, achieved through a rich mix of leathers, textured knits and colorful jerseys. Mattiussi utilized a wide array of classic patterns, including checks, stripes, chevrons, houndstooth and argyle to bring a sense of dynamism to the garments.

By placing the audience close to the catwalk, AMI invited guests to appreciate the craftsmanship and materiality of the pieces firsthand. Accompanied by an upbeat electronic soundtrack, the show reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to dressing individuals with sincerity and humility, creating pieces intended to be truly inhabited by the wearer.
