UGG and YOON's AMBUSH Craft a Commanding Footwear Line

Following an outdoorsy collab with designer Reese Cooper earlier this year, UGG has joined forces with YOON and her Tokyo-based label AMBUSH for an inventive capsule collection that quite literally takes things to new heights, Hypebeast can exclusively reveal.

Galvanized by the Japanese capital’s streetwear scene, the line includes five statement-making footwear models, all with platforms and heels to up the ante with YOON’s signature flair. Among them, the UGG AMBUSH Heel, priced at $650 USD, boasts a fur coating around its entire facade, while both the UGG AMBUSH Woven Boot and Boot take the Australian footwear label’s signature shape to a chunkier destination, with full-grain leather, luxe sheepskin, and soft nubuck.

“I wanted to draw inspiration from our city of Tokyo,” said YOON. “The boots and shoes I often saw when I first moved to Shibuya have always stuck with me, so this is my love letter to the neighborhood.”

Japanese rapper, singer, and songwriter Yuki Chiba stars in the campaign film, which sees Chiba, clad in his boots, meet friends at a bowling alley for a serious game against a group of girls wearing the collaborative heels.
