Netflix has announced the release date and teaser trailer for Physical: Asia, its first cross-border installment of the Physical: 100 competition series. The season brings together 48 athletes representing Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia and the Philippines to vie for regional bragging rights through grueling physical challenges.
The newly released teaser spotlights intense Korea – Japan showdowns and features global sports icons — including boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker and Korean UFC pioneer Dong Hyun Kim, underscoring the high-stakes rivalries that await viewers.
Producer Jang Hogi reveals that the show’s sprawling set spans an area the size of five soccer fields, built with 1,200 tons of sand and 40 tons of steel. Highlights include a colossal sinking ship and fortress-style arenas inspired by Geunjeongjeon Hall at Gyeongbokgung Palace, symbolizing Asia’s cultural exchange. Traditional Korean motifs, such as those found on a Jeoseungsaja-clad judge’s gat, guardian figures like Haetae, Jangseung totems and Seonangdang shrines, imbue the competition with local lore.
Physical: Asia will premiere on October 28, 2025, joining Netflix Korea’s unscripted lineup alongside returning hits such as Culinary Class Wars and Single’s Inferno.
