Designer Caroline Hu, in collaboration with Edison Chen’s CLOT and adidas Originals, is introducing the trending “ballerina” interpretation to the classic adidas Taekwondo silhouette.
This three-way collaboration seamlessly blends the popular ballet shoe aesthetic with the lifestyle appeal of the Taekwondo model. A key design element is the elastic, zig-zagging straps at the mid-foot that draw inspiration from ballet flats’ ribbons, contributing to the elegant look of the silhouette. This collaboration exemplifies the fusion of Hu’s sensibility in womenswear fashion and Chen’s streetwear design with the archival adidas Taekwondo, positioning it as one of the most unique pieces in the adidas Originals series.
Three distinct colourways are featured in this collection: light pink, cream white, and piano black. Each comes in a glossy leather upper. The light pink and cream white versions are accented with silver stripes on the sides, while the piano black pair sticks to an all-black aesthetic for a versatile and low-profile appearance.
