A24 has debuted the second trailer for its upcoming film, The Smashing Machine.
The biopic stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the legendary MMA and UFC fighter, Mark Kerr. The Smashing Machine explores the life and career of Kerr, with Emily Blunt as Kerr’s then-wife Dawn Staples. Ryan Bader and Oleksandr Usyk also join the cast as fellow fighters Mark Coleman and Igor Vovchanchyn, and former coach Bas Rutten appears as himself.
The film premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival where it received a 15-minute standing ovation, leading Johnson, director Benny Safdie and Kerr to tears.
