In a fusion of gaming and streetwear, Japanese brand BEAMS has teamed up with PlayStation once again to release a new apparel collection. The collaboration celebrates three decades of the iconic console with a range of hoodies and crewneck sweaters that blend minimalist design with a retro-inspired aesthetic.
The collection includes black and grey hoodies and crewneck sweaters. The crewneck features the iconic controller shapes—the triangle, circle, X and square front and center with the PlayStation logo on the back, while another crewneck just featurses the PlayStation branding on the front.
The hoodie on the other hand features the vintage, colorful PlayStation logo that sees the “P” in red alongside the tri-color of yellow, green and blue. The logo was introduced in 1994 when the original PlayStation console launched. The popular logo, designed by Manabu Sakamota, became a key part of the gaming console’s branding over the years. Taking it back in time, the back of the hoodie features the PlayStation 1 diagram, which sees each piece labeled. The hoodie also arrives in black and grey.
