Update: Salehe Bembury offered a teaser of his next New Balance project back in May, showing off two colorful takes on the New Balance 1000. Since then, we’ve seen the blue colorway make an appearance with in-hand shots of an early pair. Now, official images of the colorway and its name have been shared. Bembury’s “Fog Be The Cloud” sees the 1999 runner combine a wide variety of materials and colors together for a one-of-a-kind look. Blue is joined by forest green, neon, orange, brown, off-white, red, purple, and magenta at the lateral’s stitched tag with Salehe Bembury branding. We lack a launch date still, however, it’s expected to arrive soon via New Balance, likely slightly above the model’s usual $150 USD price point.

Update: The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 1000 is set to release in Fall 2025, with further updates still to come. The pair features a vibrant mix of colors, including a lavender inner lining, blue textile upper, and lime green insoles. Orange-brown and forest green tones accent the tongue, while a sleek green midsole tying it all together.
A true burst of color, the release is expected to land on the Be A Spunge website. Stay tuned for official updates.
Orignal story: Salehe Bembury is an unstoppable force in footwear. The veteran designer has teamed up with countless brands over the years and continues to work closely with several, including New Balance. When asked during a Q&A on Instagram about his next collaboration with the American sportswear brand, he offered a teaser of two collaborative colorways of the 1000 sneaker.
The 1000, having returned to shelves for its 25th anniversary last year, remains a staple in New Balance’s lifestyle rotation. With Bembury, both iterations of the shoe sport mixed material builds that balance synthetic, suede, and textile detailing throughout. In typical Bembury fashion, each look is loaded with colors. The left pair hosts lavender, orange, green, yellow, red, and white notes whereas the right one ventures between brown, blue, purple, red, forest green and neon green.
At the time of writing, neither Salehe Bembury nor New Balance have indicated when their forthcoming project featuring the 1000 sneaker will be arriving.
