Summary

  • IWC’s Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar in ceramic and stainless steel
  • Both feature Pantone® light blue dials and are powered by in-house movements
  • Limited to 1,000 pieces, the ceramic version comes in a tonal Pantone® case

IWC expands its Colors of TOP GUN collection with the new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar, available in two distinct editions. The standout model, limited to 1,000 examples, features a limited light blue ceramic case — a Pantone®-developed hue inspired by the t-shirts worn by TOP GUN instructors. The manufacturing process behind the colored ceramic case involves mixing zirconium oxide with metallic oxides in precise ratios, requiring extensive trials to achieve the desired shade and consistency across the dial and strap.

The ceramic case is paired with a matching dial and rubber strap in the same distinct shade, creating a cohesive and striking aesthetic. This edition is powered by the IWC 69380 caliber, a high-precision chronograph movement with a column-wheel design, complete with 46 hours of power reserve. It includes a titanium case back engraved with the “TOP GUN” logo and a soft-iron inner case for magnetic protection.

Alongside the ceramic version, the Maison also debuts a stainless steel edition — marking the first time a Pantone® color from the TOP GUN series appears in a non-ceramic watch. This model features in a 41mm steel case, a Miramar blue dial and a matching rubber strap. Rhodium-plated hands filled with Super-LumiNova® enhance legibility, while the open caseback offers a view of the in-house 69385 movement.

Both models feature IWC’s EasX-CHANGE® system, allowing wearers to effortlessly change straps to complement their mood or attire. Available now via IWC, the ceramic variant retails for $13,500 USD, while the steel version is priced at $7,200 USD.
