To mark a century since the groundbreaking Leica I, Leica has unveiled the M11-D 100 Years of Leica Anniversary Set, an exclusive release limited to 101 sets. Blending modern engineering with vintage design, the M11-D pays homage to the original 1925 camera with a high-gloss black lacquered brass top plate, nickel-colored controls and a minimal exterior free from branding. The centerpiece is paired with two special lenses: a reissued Leitz Anastigmat-M 50 f/3.5, mirroring the original collapsible optic, and a custom Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH., both finished in anodized nickel tones with retro design cues.
Each numbered set is packaged in a premium black lacquered wooden box with cream-white microvelour lining and includes period-inspired leather accessories and a certificate of authenticity. Notably, the millionth Leica M-Camera ever produced — serial number 6000000 — is part of this release, engraved as no. 000, making it a historic milestone for collectors. The set exemplifies Leica’s unique ability to bridge tradition and innovation, offering both a tribute to its pioneering roots and a bold celebration of craftsmanship.
