As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.
Albums come from Bon Iver, Ken Carson and Eyedress, with an EP landing from Bb trickz.
4batz, Rema, Aminé, Lana Del Rey, and Jim Legxacy all revealed new singles, with Sheck Wes and Travis Scott teaming up for “ILMB,” Quavo and Lil Baby linking on “Legends,” and Shaboozey and Myles Smith connecting on “Blink Twice.”
Ken Carson – More Chaos
At long last, Ken Carson has dropped off the follow-up project to his acclaimed A Great Chaos, More Chaos. An entirely new project, More Chaos spans 21 new songs from the Opium rapper and arrives alongside the first official visual from the album for “Money Spread.”
Bon Iver – SABLE, fABLE
Bon Iver has lifted the veil on the group’s first LP in almost six years. The Justin Vernon-led project presents the two-part SABLE, fABLE, which fuses Bon Iver’s October EP SABLE, with an ethereal lineup of new songs holding down the fABLE component. Features come from Mk.gee, Dijon, Flock of Dimes, Jim-E Stack and Danielle Haim.
Lana Del Rey – “Henry, come on”
A new Lana Del Rey era might be on the horizon. The songstress has shared “Henry, come on,” her first solo new song since December 2023’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and, more recently, her appearance on Quavo’s “Tough.” Whether or not “Henry, come on” will mark the first single of her imminent country album? Only time will tell.
Sheck Wes x Travis Scott – ”ILMB”
The JACKBOYS are back together. After teasing “ILMB” on socials for a minute now, Sheck Wes and Travis Scott have finally reconnected on the hazy new single.
Aminé – “Arc de Triomphe”
Aminé continues to lock in on his album. After premiering the “Arc de Triomphe” freestyle on “On the Radar,” the rapper officially dropped the cut earlier this week, sampling the streets on the single.
Quavo x Lil Baby – ”Legends”
On a similarly solid collaborative note, Quavo and Lil Baby also re-teamed on “Legends,” after dropping footage of the track throughout the week.
Eyedress – Stoner
Almost exactly a year after his last studio album Vampire in Beverly Hills, Eyedress has lifted the veil on Stoner. A shoegaze, bedroom-pop-imbued delivery, the album comes with features from Mac DeMarco and Harmony Korine, among others.
4batz – ”n da morning”
Following up on “MORTAL KOMBAT,” 4batz has dropped off “n da morning.” He’s packaged the new single into a two-pack with March’s “MORTAL KOMBAT.”
Rema – “Bout U”
As he readies to make his Coachella debut, Rema has unveiled yet another captivating afro-R&B cut entitled “Bout U,” which arrives on the heels of “Baby (Is It a Crime).”
Bb trickz – 80’z
Bb trickz – a.k.a your favorite artist’s favorite artist – has revealed her first project sine 2023. The bilingual ’80’z’ features a lineup of eight tracks from Belize Kazi, including Clairo-sampling “Not a Pretty Girl.”
Jim Legxacy – “stick”
UK-based Jim Legxacy has delivered another impressive new single. Entitled “stick” – which follows up “father” – the cut comes accompanied with a video from Rohan Dil shot partly on a Blackberry.
Shaboozey x Myles Smith – “Blink Twice”
Hypebeast magazine digital cover star Shaboozey is back with another genre-bending single. This one is entitled “Blink Twice” and features rising star Myles Smith.
