San Diego Comic-Con Announces First International Event in Spain
Taking place this September.
San Diego Comic-Con is officially set to kick off its first international event this September.
Set to take place in Malaga, Spain on September 25 to September 28, the upcoming event will mark the convention’s debut in the European market after setting up its first event in 1970. San Diego Comic Convention Chief Communications & Strategy Officer David Glanze explained via ComicBook that Malaga was chosen as the first destination due to its “vibrant cultural scene and modern facilities.”
While the specific events during the convention remain under wraps, rumors are claiming that the September edition will have a setup similar to San Diego’s with panel talks, exhibitions, autograph sessions and Comic-Con exclusives. ComicBook notes that if the reports are true, the Malaga event will likely be on the same scale as its American counterpart.
The first San Diego Comic-Con Malaga takes place September 25 to September 28.
