‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ Season 2 Will Premiere in 2026

Official outlets for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End have provided major updates regarding the release of the anime’s second season.

Adapted from Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s fantasy adventure manga, the anime’s first season premiered in fall 2023 and completed broadcast in spring 2024, with a total of 28 episodes. Produced by Madhouse – the acclaimed animation studio behind notable series such as Hunter x Hunter, One Punch Man Season 1 and numerous Satoshi Kon films – Frieren S1 became the dark horse of 2024 and was named Anime of The Year by IGN. Season 2 is currently in production and is slated to release in January 2026. The news was announced along with a new key visual, which depicts Frieren, Fern and Stark enjoying the sunset while relaxing in a hot spring. Check out the visual below.
