The Weeknd Drops Cinematic "Open Hearts" Music Video
The latest from his newest album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow.’
The Weeknd keeps on going with the roll out of his latest album Hurry Up Tomorrow. Hot on the heels of the Eddie Alcazar-directed visuals for “Red Terror,” The Weeknd has revealed a new video for his other single off the album, “Open Hearts.”
Continuing to be a muse of love, relationships and heartbreak, his latest video incorporates high-tech, cinematic features that aid his bold storytelling aesthetic. Elevating the experience, the video opens with a line that recommends those with a VR headset, specifically Apple Immersive on Vision Pro, would have the optimal view when watching the video. This is not the first time The Weeknd partnered with Apple, previously dropping the “Dancing in the Flames” music video entirely shot on the iPhone 16. Last year, The Weeknd and Apple had teased the Apple Vision Pro experience for “Open Hearts,” and now the full project has come to fruition.
The video sees The Weeknd singing from the back of an ambulance as he drives through the ups and downs of the valleys of love. When he finally exits the ambulance, he finds himself in a concert setting, performing the final verses of his song. Watch the full video above.
