The Weeknd‘s fourth single “Red Terror” from his sixth album Hurry Up Tomorrow receives an eerie music video just a couple of days after its release. In the Eddie Alcazar-directed set of visuals, The Weeknd is portrayed as a mouthless child who appears to be chased by monsters through an ominous forest as he tries to shed his original form.

As The Weeknd gears up to rollout the final plans for his album under the current stage name, the “Red Terror” music video seems apt as the artist works towards shedding “The Weeknd” skin to be come Abel again. In a claymation video, the visuals draw fans in with its goriness and comes after singles like “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti as well as the Anitta-assisted “São Paulo.”

Prior to the release of the album, The Weeknd spoke to Variety about stepping away from being The Weeknd, “Part of me actually was thinking, ‘You lost your voice because it’s done; you said what you had to say.” He added, “‘Don’t overstay at the party — you can end it now and live a happy life.’ You know? Put the bow on it: Hurry Up Tomorrow? Now we’re here. When is the right time to leave, if not at your peak? Once you understand who I am too much, then it’s time to pivot.”

The artist embarks on his After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour in May and general sale tickets begin on February 7 at 10 a.m. local time.
