Engineered Garments FW25 Draws Inspiration from New York City

The collection captures the hustle of NYC living through newsboy vests, mixed prints, and an array of hats.

Engineered Garments has drawn inspiration from the hectic nature of New York City for its Fall/Winter 2025 collection. The lookbok hits on the signature iconography of the day to day in the busy city streets, via pieces like newsboy vests, oversized trenches, large black umbrellas accented with music notes and suited citizens with their newspapers in hand, all in an effort to unfold printed layers of the metropolitan identity.

Like much of Daiki Suzuki’s styling, prints are an established neutral, and this collection highlights the best of that ability. Stripes, checkered knits, tie-dyes, and patchwork prints serve as interchangeable staples between the different city-dwellers.

For the downtown creative, beige corduroy overalls are paired with an identical newsboy cap and complimented with an oversized beige and black printed jacket. A grey-blue quarter-snap pullover is layered with a navy velveteen bomber jacket and pants with a bright patchwork motif.

For the corporate citizen, the striped suits are donned over hooded technical jackets and completed with an urban trench coat while full monotone herringbone suits are playfully accented with matching bucket hats. For both, a tie-dye cargo vest is layered over a grey overcoat and suit pants.

Check out the full Fall/Winter 2025 collection in the gallery above, and expect it to touch down via the brand’s webstore, Nepenthes and select retailers in the coming weeks.
