Update: JJJJound and adidas have officially announced the launch of their two Made in Germany Superstar colorways, offering a complete look at both pairs. The “Off White” iteration features the Superstar 82 shape while sporting black contrast at its Three Stripes and heel tab. Both versions of the shoe feature a gilded JJJJound wordmark above the lateral stripes while also sporting a leather insole and lining. As for its “Core Black” counterpart, it revisits the Superstar 90 shape while contrast is also served at its Three Stripes and heel tab in off-white. Created at adidas’ Scheinfeld factory, both are completed by custom retro hang tags and co-branded packaging. Release is set to take place on February 20 via JJJJound, adidas and select retailers at a starting price of $250 USD. For more info, review our previous discussions below.

Update: After leaked images of two upcoming JJJJound x adidas Superstars popped up in the last two months, we now have an official teaser from JJJJound. Not only are the “Off White” and “Core Black” colorways showcased here, but there are tags present confirming that both pairs feature Made in Germany construction, rather than the Made in Japan designation that the “Core Black” pair initially received. While product pages from stockists were ready to go earlier this month, a proper launch of the kicks is likely to take place in the months to come via JJJJound and adidas at an expected starting price of $250 USD each.

Original Story: JJJJound and adidas kicked off their new partnership last year by introducing a premium Made in Germany version of the ever-popular Samba silhouette. Two colorways of the kicks dropped in March with a separate project involving the sneaker arriving in June. Now, the duo is going from one beloved model to another as they take on the shell-toed Superstar.

We caught an early preview of a “Core Black” colorway of the JJJJound x adidas Superstar Made in Japan back in December of last year and now have a first look at the Made in Germany “Off White” pair. This elevated take on the sneaker sees its “Off White” coloring cover a majority of the sneaker as black hits the Three Stripes and heel tab, gold glistens at the lateral’s “JJJJound” wordmark and tan lands at the lining.

At the time of writing, neither JJJJound nor adidas have confirmed when this “Off White” colorway of their Superstar project will be dropping. However, select retailers such as BSTN have this release scheduled to take place on February 1 at a starting price of $250 USD. Stay tuned for additional info, including the release of its Made in Japan “Core Black” counterpart, as we expect the campaign’s official unveiling to take place soon.
