Scarlett Johansson is trading the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Gotham City as she is reportedly close to joining the cast of Matt ReevesThe Batman Part II.

Nexus Point News reports that the actress may be up for the role of a new love interest for Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson). All the details remain under wraps as of writing, but Johansson could bring to life Andrea Beaumont/The Phantasm, Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy, Vicki Vale or Julie Madison.

Zoë Kravitz will supposedly not return as Catwoman; her character of Selina Kyle left Gotham at the end of The Batman.

The Batman Part II was first announced in April 2022 and was initially slated for an October 2025 premiere date. This was delayed by one year to 2026, and then by another year to October 1, 2027.
