Patta and Chicago-based designer Joe Freshgoods are teaming up again for their first capsule collection “PattaGoods”, uniting the two black-owned, independent brands.
The collection centres on 1970s youth culture and vintage community graphics, infusing the collection some familiar yet authentic aesthetics. The varsity jacket takes the centre stage, featuring classic green-orange colorway chenille patches emblazoned Patta and Joe Freshgoods, pairs with nostalgic graphics on the back. The leather sleeves and white Patta patches add subtle textual layers to the jacket. The mesh jerseys come in two colorways, both integrating the collections’ theme color, black, orange, and green. Rounding out the lineup are tees, denim, jogging pants, caps and long-sleeves, creating a retro wardobe.
Joe Freshgoods said that “This is really about bridging Chicago and Amsterdam, two places that shaped who we are creatively. We wanted to make something that feels familiar but new, something people experience, not just buy. Being a part of history matters to me. Partnering with a brand I have looked to for so long felt right. Legacy partnerships.”
The early access to “PattaGoods” starts on December 3 at the Patta Chapter store in Amsterdam. The capsule collection will be available at Patta Chapter stores in London, Milano, Patta webstore and Joe Freshgoods webstore from December 5. The collection will be available in Joe Freshgoods store on December 6.
