To kick off the Spring/Summer 2026 season, BEAMS has partnered with NEEDLES to debut a groundbreaking hybrid silhouette that merges two of the most recognizable icons in Japanese streetwear. This exclusive collaboration reimagines the classic NEEDLES track jacket through the luxurious, tactile lens of their signature mohair cardigan.
The result is a sophisticated evolution of the “athleisure” aesthetic. While the foundation remains rooted in the traditional track jacket shape, the fabrication has been completely transformed into a premium knit mohair. This material update elevates the piece from a sporty staple to an elegant wardrobe essential. In a bold move toward minimalism, the front pockets have been intentionally removed, creating a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette reminiscent of a high-end driver’s knit.
Available in a refined palette of brown, black, and grey, each piece is anchored by the unmistakable contrast stripes running down the sleeves and the iconic Papillon (butterfly) motif embroidered on the chest. The soft, hazy texture of the mohair offers a unique visual depth, allowing the jacket to function effortlessly as a standout outer layer or a cozy mid-layer beneath a coat.
