Summary
- GDC x HYSTERIC GLAMOUR reconnects for their second capsule collection
- Pieces fuses glam rock with Americana, topped with an edgy London aesthetic
- Releasing December 13; key pieces include a Stadium Jumper, various hoodies, T-shirts and jeans
GDC and HYSTERIC GLAMOUR have linked up again to unveil their second capsule collaboration. The duo merges their distinct street-style aesthetics once more to create an apparel collection that’s centered on bold graphics and a rebellious spirit. The concept draws inspiration from a conceptual persona, described as someone who wears American casual clothing while wrapped in the air of London, all while exuding a hint of glam rock. While GDC’s design is led by stylist Takashi Kumagai, the product design for this collaboration was directly handled by HYSTERIC GLAMOUR.
The visual identity of the range is built around a key graphic that is specially produced for this collaboration: a feminine figure wearing the eight-pointed star (STAR) motif beret — a signature symbol of GDC. This graphic appears across the collection, anchored by core HYSTERIC GLAMOUR staples such as denim and T-shirts, expanded by a versatile range of outerwear. The extensive lineup also includes a BOA Jacket, a classic Stadium Jumper (Varsity Jacket) and the military-inspired M-65 jacket. As for bottoms, the lineup features both skinny-fitting jeans as well as Satin Slacks.
Priced from ¥13,900 – ¥139,000 JPY (approx. $89 – $887 USD), the second GDC x HYSTERIC GLAMOUR capsule will be available through both brands’ online stores starting December 13.
