Ressence Debuts Its First-Ever Rose Gold TYPE 1° Timepiece

Ressence has introduced the TYPE 1 Round Rose Gold (T1° RG), a limited-edition timepiece that marks the brand’s first foray into the warmth and character of rose gold plating. This new model combines the essentialist, crownless design of the popular TYPE 1º watch with the sophisticated warmth of 4N rose-gold plating.
Founder Benoît Mintiens describes the edition as adding “soul” to the much-loved TYPE 1°, which has been a popular choice since its original launch in 2014. Featuring a sunray-finished dial, sandblasted case ring and bezel, and guilloché-finished discs, the model offers collectors a refined statement of contemporary elegance.
At the heart of the TYPE 1° RG lies the independant watch brand’s patented ROCS 1.3 (Ressence Orbital Convex System) module, driven by the minute axle of a customized 2892 base caliber — an innovative mechanism that replaces traditional hands with revolving discs, creating a bi-dimensional display of hours, seconds and day of the week.
Visually, the TYPE 1° RG balances warmth and contrast. The copper-toned luminescence of the rose-gold dial is offset by cool silver subdials and crisp white minute markers. The rose-gold plating enhances the organic character of the watch, while engraved indications filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova® ensure clarity and legibility. A light gray suede strap complements the dial without overpowering it, while the US market receives an exclusive dark chocolate brown leather strap for a more traditional pairing.
Limited to just 70 pieces, the Ressence T1° RG will make its debut at the 2025 edition of Dubai Watch Week. Priced at 18,150 CHF (approx. $22,836 USD), the limited-edition timepiece will will be available globally through Ressence’s website and select retailers starting November 19, 2025.
