The nominations for The Game Awards 2025 have been announced, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 making history by receiving 12 nominations, the most for any single game in the awards’ history. The video game industry’s year-end celebration honors the most innovative games, studios, and creatives of the year.
The highly anticipated Game of the Year category features a strong lineup, including the historically nominated Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from Sandfall Interactive, alongside Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Reflecting the ongoing cross-over between gaming and entertainment, the Best Adaptation nominees include A Minecraft Movie, Devil May Cry, The Last of Us: Season 2, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, and Until Dawn.
Sony Interactive Entertainment is the most nominated publisher this year with 19 total nods.
