XLIM Unveils Dynamic "Episode 7" Collection
With a dynamic CMYK color palette, acid washed denim meets technical fabrics in lightweight activewear and accessories.
XLIM‘s “Episode 7” collection has been unveiled ahead of the official launch, set to take place at The Hyundai Seoul this weekend. In a digitally-tinged CMYK color palette, “Episode 7” offers a range of utilitarian garments in a mixture of technical and denim fabrics, recalling styles popular in the late ’90s.
In a spectrum of dynamic poses a drone flies over the models, styled in layers of activewear, some with their faces obscured by makeshift balaclavas and head wraps. With a foundation of black and white cargo pants, jeans, biker shirts, trucker jackets and more, bursts of color are provided by moments led by cyan blue, magenta pink, and bright yellow pieces.
Dominated by shades of pink, added texture is provided to one look through layering–comprising a maroon long-sleeve, a washed black t-shirt, a printed pink crossbody, and a mauve head wrap. In another all-blue look, a cyan jacket with contrast taping is paired with a blue head wrap and what appear to be heat-sensitive sky blue cargo.
Detail photos showcase XMIL’s architectural design philosophy, demonstrated by zippered vents that can be opened to show underlayers and unconventional darting that exposes high-contrast accents.
Elsewhere, a closer look is offered of the fabrics, including translucent gauze panels combined with lightweight performance fabrics. An additional product shot displaying a gray jacket with red accents showcases the water-resistant properties of textiles used in the collection.
