MYSTEPHENM's VOL. 1 Capsule Collection Explores Harmony Between Nature and Man-Made
Centering on a mysterious journey concept.
MYSTEPHENM is a newly-launched South Korean clothing label with a mission to explore the world’s phenomena through its garments and designs. The label’s name is a portmanteau of “mysterious” and “phenomenon,” which encapsulates its ethos, philosophy as well as design journey.
“There was a time when I felt I was losing happiness in the repetitive routine of my daily life,” MYSTEPHENM’s founder and creative director, Je Ho tells Hypebeast, “In an effort to regain that sense of happiness, I started seeking happiness and a sense of liberation from both the small and big things in my everyday life.” Je Ho described these experiences amid his journey to be mysterious, which then inspired his creative pursuits as well as his mission to help others rediscover joy in their daily lives.
For VOL. 1, the brand unveils a capsule range comprised of long-sleeve tops and pants. Centering on a journey concept, the garments convey the idea of finding harmony between nature and man-made. The mystical and soul-searching narrative is solidified through a whimsical campaign that elaborates on the “journey” of the collection. While the first capsule release focuses on womenswear, the brand has confirmed that a unisex collection will be on its way for its next seasonal offering.
Prices range from $114 – $196 USD, MYSTEPHENM’s VOL.1 capsule collection will be available to shop through the brand’s official webstore starting today at 6 p.m. KST.
