Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar's "Goosebumps" Receives Diamond Certification
Travis Scott’s second-ever diamond single following “Sicko Mode.”
Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar have achieved a major feat with their collaborative track “Goosebumps” off the 2016 Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight album. The song has now earned a Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking Scott’s second-ever after “Sicko Mode.”
The collaboration hit over the 10 million mark in sales, jumping to 13 million from its eight million certification in 2021. “Sicko Mode” was Scott’s first track to hit Diamond, which did so in 2020. Now, it has received new certifications with its 14 times platinum standing. The feat with “Goosebumps” comes in the middle of a great music week for Scott, who recently re-released his 2014 album Days Before Rodeo. Days Before Rodeo is currently on track to outsell other hip-hop albums from this year. Within the first week, it has already been estimated to sell 217,000 equivalent units, competing for the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Scott and Lamar’s “Goosebumps” Diamond certification is a rare feat. Scott famously played the song 15 times in a row in 2017 to break the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive performances of a song during a show.
