Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres World Tour" Is the Highest-Grossing Rock Tour in 'Billboard' History

Coldplay has officially set the record for highest-grossing rock tour in Billboard history with their ongoing “Music of the Spheres World Tour.”
As per Billboard Boxscore, the ongoing engagement has grossed a current total of $945.7 million USD with 8.8 million tickets sold since it kicked off in March 2022. This makes it both the highest-grossing and best-selling rock tour in Boxscore’s almost-40-year history. “Music of the Spheres World Tour” overtakes the $939.1 million USD run of Elton John’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour,” U2’s “U2 360 Tour,” The Rolling Stones’ “A Bigger Bang Tour” and engagements from the likes of AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Roger Waters.
The report adds that Coldplay still has 21 shows left in their touring schedule, possibly allowing them to add another 1 million tickets to become 10 million sold.
