Amazon Echo Frames and HBX Archives Unveil the Future of Eyewear With NYC Opening Event

On June 28, the partnership’s Amazon Echo Frames exhibition opened, inviting guests to experience an immersive showcase spotlighting the future of eyewear through the innovative Echo Frames and the stylish Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa. This highly anticipated event brought together fashion and tech enthusiasts, encouraging interaction and community through a lively launch party and public pop-up experience.

Held at 41 Division Street in New York’s Chinatown neighborhood, the exclusive preview offered a sneak peek at HBX’s specially curated fashion pieces alongside a hands-on experience with the Echo Frames. The private gathering allowed visitors to explore a carefully selected collection of rare “grail” items and experience firsthand the cutting-edge Echo Frames and Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa, setting the tone for the exhibition’s official public opening from June 29 to July 2.

For the exhibit, Hypebeast curated three captivating displays for the immersive gallery, blending Echo Frames with a mix of new and preloved garments and accessories, all exclusively selected by HBX Archives. These displays highlighted the harmonious synergy between fashion and technology, emphasizing themes of collaboration, craftsmanship, and technology. “Collaboration” featured the Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa paired with the Junya Watanabe Man x Innerraum Berlin AW23 tailored jacket, while “Craftsmanship” connected the Amazon Echo Frames with the Proleta Re Art Boro denim. The theme of “Technology” showcased another pair of Amazon Echo Frames alongside the Takahiromiyashita theSoloist AW2018 flight jacket. The gallery not only showcased the aesthetic appeal of the Echo Frames and Carrera Smart Glasses but also demonstrated their practicality and versatility, further bridging the gap between high fashion and wearable tech.

A standout feature of the event was the pop-up open to the public, which included live demonstrations of Echo Frames and Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa. This interactive component fostered a sense of community and dialogue among fashion enthusiasts, adding an engaging layer to the event. Notable attendees on opening night included fashion expert Miles Baguette, stylist Ian McRae, pro skateboarder Beatrice Dromond and more, further elevating the event’s profile.
