Forét SS25 Is Down to Earth
The Scandinavian label goes outside to create its latest collection, “Bees and Things and Flowers.”
Scandinavian fashion imprint Forét is embracing sunny weather and warm breezes with its “Bees and Things and Flowers” SS25 collection. The name is a lyric taken from the 1976 song “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” by Roy Ayers, which was the catalyst behind this nature-inspired collection. Here, the brand seeks to use its garments to invoke the same carefree and uplifting attitude as the titular track.
The pieces stay simple with classic silhouettes and a color palette consisting of blue, brown, green and yellow — all shades found in nature. Denim gets a spotlight in both dark and medium washes, composing jeans, shorts and jackets. Subtle floral embroidery lands on several silhouettes, like a canvas workwear jacket donning a buzzy “F” logo on the chest.
Other classic styles include button-downs (in many colors and various simple patterns), crewneck sweaters and white undershirts. The only departure from the collection’s largely logoless ethos is a simple white Forét-branded T-shirt. The no-frills nature of the offering stays in line with the brand’s core belief of not following trends but finding inspiration within the alluring beauty of nature.
This ethos is fully translated in the lookbook, shot live on location at Svanholm Storkollektiv, a farming collective located in Denmark. The collective has been around since 1978, staying true to its core principles of organic farming and easy-going, communal living, which mirror Forét’s slow fashion efforts.
The Forét Spring 2025 collection will be presented in Paris next week and available in January 2025.
