CASETiFY unveiled a collection of environmental artworks in celebration of Earth Month. The brand collaborated with several renowned artists to create larger-than-life displays in their hometowns. Each work is produced from Re/CASETiFY pellets, a material made from old phone cases. In its latest sustainability report, CASETiFY announced recycling over 84,000 kilograms of plastic since the inception of its sustainability program.

CASETiFY tapped visual artists Wade and Leta, zilin, Youngmin Kang, Dayoung Hwang, and Surin Kim, as well as furniture collective Eva, for the project. Each artist breathed new life into single-use plastics while also exploring the possibilities of Re/CASETiFY as a medium for expression in their work.

Wade and Leta created a custom table and matching stools for their installation in Brooklyn. The pair used Re/CASETiFY pellets from 12,000 recycled phone cases to create their piece. For Zilin’s installation on Aranya Beach in China, the artist documented a recycled phone’s journey through CASETiFY’s upcycling initiative. Kang, Hwang, and Kim took over Seoul Arts Center’s Music Square with their large-scale artworks made from eco-friendly filaments and recycled pellets. And over in Sydney, furniture label Eva showcased the infinite possibilities of discarded materials with its Re/Treat Sofa, displayed in the CASETiFY Studio Store.

Beyond these installations commissioned for Earth Month, CASETiFY also collaborated in Thailand with the non-profit organization Tlejourn Shoes Project, which transforms ocean waste into shoe shoes. The organization created 500 pairs of Re/CASETiFY Sandals from upcycled old phone cases with support from Trash Hero volunteers and the Pattani community in Thailand.

These initiatives are part of CASETiFY’s Journey to Re/BiRTH campaign, which encourages individuals to engage with their natural environment through art. The campaign has inspired so many creatives, including United Kingdom-based artist Andy Singleton. He created a special work for his social media, transforming hundreds of smartphone cases into a one-of-a-kind fish sculpture. These sustainable projects reflect CASETiFY’s steadfast commitment to sustainability and mission to inspire positive change.
