Karl Hab Presents ‘24H Paris’ as an Outdoor Exhibition

Open for public view until June 25.

Parisian photographer Karl Hab is currently showing his 24H PARIS exhibition in his hometown. Supported by Converse, the exhibit serves as an extension of Hab’s 2022 photo book with the same name.

Through Hab’s “Snake Eyes” lens, he documents life in the City of Lights, a place where he grew up and still inhabits.  Through the numberless pages, Hab imbues magic into the mundane, capturing and preserving fleeting moments that evoke the city’s distinct character. Just like the book, the exhibition showcases the images in chronological order based on the time of the day it was photographed.

For the first time, the series of images from 24H PARIS are open for public view in an exhibition setting. Instead of the traditional gallery or museum, the images are framed and presented on the gates of the Paris City Hall — a fitting choice that aligns with its theme and context.

Karl Hab’s 24H PARIS exhibition can be viewed at the  Grilles de l’Hôtel de Ville de Paris (gates of Paris City Hall) till June 25, 2024. Preview some of the images in the gallery above.
