CASIO Launches Tamagotchi-Like Customizable BABY-G Watches

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, CASIO introduces the BABY-G + PLUS series, showcasing a modern take on customizable timekeeping accessories. The series is highlighted by the BGD-10K model, a compact digital watch designed for versatility and personal expression. This model features detachable bezels and bands, allowing wearers to switch from a classic wristwatch to a chic time-telling charm that’s reminiscent of a Tamagotchi. The pocket watch then can be attached to a bag or belt, all without the need for additional tools.
Reflecting the vibrant and playful spirit of the early 2000s, the series boasts pop-casual color variations inspired by Y2K fashion trends. Each watch comes with a silicone holder that users can personalize with stickers and decorations to match their daily style or mood.
Beyond aesthetics, the BGD-10K ensures durability and functionality with its shock-resistant construction and 100-meter water resistance. It also features a digital display enhanced with retro-style pixel-art animations, including fun characters that animate the screen at the touch of a button.
Set to release in July 2024 and priced at $79 USD each, this series will be available both online and in select retailers.
