Between Friends’ ‘garage sale’ EP Is an Homage to Their DIY Roots
A quick follow-up to their debut LP ‘I Love My Girl She’s My Boy.’

LA pop act Between Friends has dropped a new EP, garage sale. The project arrives less than a year after the duo, composed of siblings Brandon and Savannah Hudson, released their debut album I Love My Girl She’s My Boy.
Continuously developing their sound, garage sale is underlined with the same nostalgic themes and sounds as the LP. Building on that foundation, Between Friends more specifically mined the retro effects and features of ‘90s DIY music – essentially referencing tracks that sound like they were made in a garage. It’s a sound reflective of the siblings’ self-taught musical backgrounds.
“We’re really students of the Internet in every way,” Savannah told Hypebeast in an interview last year. “We’re that generation where, if we wanted to learn something, we’ll spend hours in our rooms online, trying that thing for ourselves. That’s a fun way to learn things because you build your own sense of creativity along the way.”
The EP compiles the previously released singles “Friends” “Eyes on my baby”, “Pleasure delayer” and “Really good cry.” With the official launch of garage sale, the two have unveiled the final song to round out the mix, “Drive Over Me.”
Between Friends recently wrapped up their own 35-stop tour and come this fall, will be joining Conan Grey as the opening act for his run.
