The Elder Statesman FW24 Puts a Fun Twist on Office Attire
Out with classics and in with color.

We all know what corporate or office attire looks like. Toss on a pair of slacks with a blazer, a button-down shirt, maybe a blazer or even a full suit. Although the protocol shifts from place to place, office attire at large has traditionally centered around business style notes – void of individual character and more importantly, color. Well, The Elder Statesman’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection is here to combat that.
It all started with the gift of a cashmere blanket that fueled founder Greg Chait to start his Los Angeles-based brand. Since its 2007 founding, the brand has remained rooted in its exaltation of fine, captivating and lively fabrics. Staying true to this personality is what has allowed the brand to both evolve and grow its community into an international audience. So with the latest collection, the brand is bringing a new understanding of what office wear can be.
For example, swap out your navy pinstripe suit for a grid-print gradient-tone suit in hues of salmon and gold. If not that, a two-tone brown and taupe suit with embroidered details is also on standby. For a calmer aesthetic, striped anoraks come out to play with striped button-down shirts and matching striped pants. Knitwear also serves as a key category with pieces like mohair sweaters alongside graphic design knits. But the wardrobe does not end there, as cotton-wrap and knit dresses make the case for business fun. Regardless of the specific item, the entire collection is deeply embedded with the brand’s core understanding of texture and colored balance.
