Nando's Collaborates With Bukayo Saka on New Limited-Edition PERi-PERi Sauce

Arsenal Football Club and England forward Bukayo Saka has just unveiled his latest collaboration with Nando’s — and the baller has created his very own, limited-edition sauce that combines the Starboy’s favorite flavours with Nando’s trademark PERi-PERi.

Nando’s and Saka have a long-standing relationship off the pitch, with their relationship spanning back to the days of Saka stealing the show with his side-eye on the Nando’s This Must Be The Place TV advert last year.

Now, Saka and Nando’s are taking their relationship to the next level, as the Gunners winger has worked with the Nando’s food team to combine his love of smoky BBQ and tomato with Nando’s distinctive PERi-PERi. The finished sauce is sweet and fiery with a little kick, made with tomato, garlic and smoked paprika. Additionally, the sauce comes in at Medium on the famous PERi-ometer, making it an instant go-to for Nando’s lovers.

Commenting on the release of his new sauce, Bukayo Saka said: “I love it and can’t wait for everyone to try it. I’ve been going to Nando’s since I was little, so to have my own PERi-PERi sauce in every restaurant in the country is quite mad! My family’s really important to me so I wanted to make sure they liked it, too. As soon as my Dad said he was a fan, I knew it was the one.” 

In celebration of the launch, Saka has stepped into the kitchen to fire up a team of chefs (including a real-life Arsenal chef) to bring his creation to life. Encapsulated in a new film titled Yes Chef, the mini-movie offers a playful take on a high-intensity kitchen.

Nando’s and Saka’s latest creation has also enlisted London-based artist and lifelong Gooner, Reuben Dangoor to design the official sauce bottle, making it the first time Nando’s has collaborated with an artist on its restaurant sauce bottles.
