Ye used Donna Summer’s 1977 single “I Feel Love” without permission, the late singer’s estate is claiming. The rapper released his joint album with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures 1, on Friday, the first of three LPs that will make up the project.

On the song “Good (Don’t Die),” it appears that Ye used the melody from Summer’s “I Feel Love” to back the lyrics “Oh, I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive, I’m alive,” Billboard reported.

The Instagram account for the late singer’s estate then accused Ye of copyright infringement, saying that while the rapper had asked to use the song, he was denied permission but went ahead with it anyway.

“Kanye West… asked permission to use Donna Summer’s song I Feel Love, he was denied… he changed the words, had someone re sing it or used AI but it’s I Feel Love… copyright infringement!!!,” the account posted on its Story.

Ozzy Osbourne also took issue with Ye seemingly using the Black Sabbath track “Iron Man.” In his own reaction posted to X, Osbourne said that he had been asked by Ye but had also refused to give his permission.
