Aries Encapsulates the Spirt of Americana for SS24

With the campaign being a satirical take on contemporary paparazzi images.

London-based imprint Aries has just presented its latest campaign for Spring/Summer 2024 and the lookbook is a satirical take on contemporary paparazzi images.

Aries is best known for his unique approach to garment design, with its elevated styles often reworked with processes designed to age, fade, and deconstruct. More of the same has been encapsulated for SS24 by the brand, with the capsule offering a lived-in aesthetic, deliberately introduced to pay homage to the hit TV show, The Sopranos.

Hawaiian shirts are used as a key point of inspiration throughout, with the designs covered in original Aries heavy metal all-over print graphics. Elsewhere, the collection includes “soft-grunge” romanticism, with fluffy knitwear, shirts, and lace-trimmed vests offering a more playful approach to proceedings. 

Denim and jersey are then introduced, with additional mesh styles used to encapsulate the spirit of Americana, US hardcore, and nu-metal influences. Furthermore, “hippy-tech-wear” and dyed nylon are merged with Y2K techno silhouettes, while the slew of baggy looks are hit with black nylon, neon green, and Matrix-inspired aesthetics. 

As expected, Aries’ customary “J’adoro Aries” slogan runs as a key theme throughout the line, with laser-destroyed denim, overdyed Oxford shirts, and accessories being crafted with pony skin and leather to offer a future-facing approach to luxury.
