OnePlus Announces Global Launch for its OnePlus 13 Series
The new flagship device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and features a camera system co-developed with Hasselblad.
OnePlus has revealed it will be launching its latest OnePlus 13 smartphone on January 7 in a global launch that will include the US, UK and Europe.
The brand’s latest flagship device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the most powerful CPU currently available in an Android phone. And, alongside its new device, OnePlus is also launching a updated version of its OnePlus Buds Pro 3 earbuds
From its newly designed slim body to the intricate camera system it co-developed with Hasselblad, the OnePlus 13 promises to pack several premium features into its sleek, aluminum frame. These includes its 6.82-inch AMOLED 2K resolution screen that’s capable of producing over 1B colors. The display also features a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and can achieve 4,500 nits at peak brightness. OnePlus has used a scratch- and damage-resistent super-ceramic glass it calls “Crystal Shield” and the OnePlus 13 becomes the first IP68- and IP69-rated smartphone from the brand.
OnePlus is touting its new phone’s 6,000mAh battery, an impressive capacity considering the phone’s size. The OnePlus 13 will be available in with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, with the base model coming in a 12GB/256GB configuration.
One the highlights of the new phone is its triple Hasselblad camera system, which includes three rear 50MP cameras: a 15mm ultra-wide (with a 120º field of view), 23mm wide and 73mm telephotos (with 3x optical zoom). The OnePlus 13 also features a 32MP selfie camera.
The OnePlus 13 will be available in three colors at launch on January 7 2025, including “Black Eclipse”, “Arctic Dawn” and “Midnight Ocean”. Stay tuned for details on pricing.
