The Jason Day Signature PAYNTR Golf Shoe Is Finally Here
Dubbed the Eighty Seven SC, a reference to Day’s birth year.

Back in March Jason Day surprised more than a few people in the golf industry when he announced his partnership with PAYNTR Golf, an upstart brand focused on performance footwear. But perhaps we should have seen it coming. The Aussie had already begun the season with a new clothing sponsor in the up-and-coming Malbon Golf, and his new deal with PAYNTR gave him an opportunity to stake an equity claim in a brand whose prospects he was equally bullish about. And after spending close to a year developing a prototype shoe that was tested at all four major championship, Jason Day and PAYNTR are now ready to reveal the fruits of their labor. The shoe is called the Eighty Seven SC (Speed Classic) and it’s available to shop now.
Initially releasing in an all white colorway with gold accents and a silver outsole, the signature shoe is named after Day’s lucky number 87 (it’s the year he was born). The silhouette has some of the clean lines of a classic golf shoe but the spirit and DNA of a runner. That latter part becomes apparent when you start to deconstruct its anatomy. A full-length Carbitex carbon fiber propulsion plate is integrated to maximize ground reaction forces, the PMXNitro+ midsole adds an element of comfort and the Clarino Microfiber upper offers a similar feel to leather but with a lot more breathability.
“Our goal has always been to create a true performance advantage for golfers without sacrificing style or comfort—and I truly believe we’ve achieved that with the Eighty-Seven SC,” said Jason Day. “We are excited to debut three more models to this collection in 2025.”
One final detail adds a personal touch of Day. Count up all the perforated holes across the upper and you’ll reach the number 87. The shoes are available now for $220 USD on PAYNTR’s online store and select retailers.
