Reese Cooper Follows Up with Latest Merrell Collaboration
Reinterpreting the Moab Mesa Luxe, Hydro Moc AT Cage, and Moab Flight Sieve.
After launching a partnership last year, Reese Cooper and Merrell are back with a suite of technical shoes well-suited for the rugged outdoors and the city streets.
For the latest collection, the American designer reinterpreted the Moab Mesa Luxe, Hydro Moc AT Cage, and Moab Flight Sieve. In the first, the silhouette is updated with premium materials, such as a chunky Vibram® TC5+ outsole, which appears in orange on the “Khaki” colorway, as well as a teal iteration that complements the purple, cream, and black upper on the “Sea” shoe.
As a slight crossover between a trail boot and a moccasin, the Moab Flight Sieve gets dipped in a “Black” and “Oyster” colorway, the latter of which features a creamy synthetic leather and mesh upper, atop a pine green FloatPro Foam™ midsole and a Vibram® EcoStep outsole.
Arguably the standout piece in the drop, the Hydro Moc AT Cage has been redesigned in a “Black” iteration, which in reality is closer to a drab olive base, atop a khaki sole, and held together with a punchy red cage. Those looking for a brighter palette, the moccasin is also available in a “Tea” colorway, featuring a muted teal base, off white outsole, and a dark teal cage component.
