New Commemorative Arcade Game Revives Original 1993 ‘NBA Jam’
The game also offers ‘NBA Hangtime’ and a special tournament edition.
Arcade1Up is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic NBA Jam video game. Making its debut in 1993, the long-running franchise first rolled out as an arcade game, a detail the company is commemorating in its new collectible toy.
The deluxe arcade machine from Arcade1Up was developed in collaboration with the actual NBA and is making its debut at the first-ever NBA Con in Las Vegas this weekend.
Not only does the arcade game offer NBA Jam, but it also comes with NBA Hangtime and NBA Jam Tournament edition. Players can connect to WiFi for a multiplayer experience of up to four players.
During gameplay, the machine’s light-up buttons will illuminate, while sound will be emitted from a dual speaker setup. Additional upgrades include improved joysticks and 3D coin doors.
Retailing for $649 USD, the 30th anniversary deluxe NBA Jam arcade game is available for pre-order on Arcade1Up’s website.
