The British-Bulgarian team behind Chopova Lowena is entering a new world, revealing its debut fairytale book starring none other than American multihyphenate icon Chloë Sevigny. Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena join the publishing industry with an angelic muse, reimagining Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen across Conversations With Angels.
Written by Nigerian-American artist Precious Okoyomon, Conversations With Angels sees Chloë Sevigny enter a mythical universe in Chopova Lowena’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Sevigny takes her artistic talents to fantasy lands, photographed alongside London kids reflecting the designer’s treasured childhood tale.
Conversations With Angels reinterprets The Snow Queen with psychedelic twists and turns, modernizing the story with eerie energy. On the cover, Sevigny is pictured wearing a sheer white lace top, sitting cross-armed with wind rushing through her hair. Elsewhere, she appears with a sinister look in Chopova Lowena’s trademark plaid dress with a clasped waist corset and ruffled wrist cuffs.
