CLOT x Nike Dunk Low "What The" Celebrates the Duo's 20th Anniversary
The kicks will come packaged with special cards that nod to duo’s past projects.
Update: CLOT has officially announced its forthcoming Nike Dunk Low “What The” and confirms that the collaboration serves as a celebration of the duo’s two decades of partnering together. As a homage to past CLOT x Nike releases, Edison Chen‘s imprint is introducing an exclusive set of trading cards that have been crafted alongside Kakawow. Dropping in one card per pack that will come with every purchase are 23 designs including 17 base cards dedicated to each of the iconic sneakers featured in the CLOT x Nike Dunk Low “What The”, four parallel cards and two numbered autograph cards each bearing a printed signature and a hard-signed version from Edison Chen. The global release for raffle winners is scheduled for July 29, 2023, at select JUICE stores worldwide.

Update: Earlier this month, CLOT’s Edison Chen took to Instagram to showcase what’s rumored to be the label’s final collaboration with Nike — a “What The” version of the Dunk Low. Reimagining the duo’s expansive history of collaborations, various details have returned for one final pair. The latest look highlights each toe’s see-through toe box, various Swoosh styles, overlay compositions and more as we eagerly await word of the shoe’s JUICE-exclusive release.

Update: At the end of June, CLOT co-founder Edison Chen teased what’s rumored to be the final collaboration with Nike: a “What The” version of the Dunk Low. Showcasing the shoe’s heel, Chen has now taken to Instagram to reveal the lateral of both uniquely-designed shoes. In addition to this, release has been declared as a JUICE-exclusive. Original Story: The rumor mill within the sneaker community is that CLOT‘s almost two-decades-long partnership with Nike coming to a close. Edison Chen and Kevin Poon‘s Hong Kong-based streetwear imprint will reportedly embark on a new journey with the Three Stripes, but before that alliance becomes official, it will be taking on a final project with the Swoosh: a CLOT x Nike Dunk Low “What The” collaboration.
As you can likely infer from its nickname, this forthcoming installment will be graced with a myriad of features from past CLOT x Nike team-ups. A rear view angle of the pair has been previewed by Chen thus far, and you can already point out specific elements such as the tile panels from its “Terracotta” Air Jordan 13 Low project, an assortment of “Silk Royale” patches and embroidered details from its Air Force 1 and Air Max 1 offerings and the same CLOT font branding from its Dunk Low initiative with fragment design on the right shoe’s heel.
If this is the final project that we see this duo release to the masses, they’re certainly going out with a banger. Sit tight as we receive further updates on their official release.
