Olivier Rousteing‘s tenure at Balmain has never gone stale. The designer constantly looks to redefine House codes through fresh silhouettes with an elegant stance. Rousteing has proven that digging through Balmain’s archives can still bring something new, and his Resort 2024 menswear collection showcases his borderless talent.
For Balmain’s Resort 2024 menswear collection, Rousteing embraced the American dream through elevated silhouettes with a traditional identity. Balmain begins the offering with crocodile skin suit jackets, skintight glossy bottoms that blend into boots, and a cowboy-style hat that completes the look. The modern interpretations continue with pointed and fringes suiting, bibbed blazers, and western pant-boots with illustrative detailing.
Glamorous outerwear boasts rhinestone accents that shimmer under the spotlight, while red, white, and blue US flag tones are slapped onto asymmetrical uniforms. Monogram stars hint at the flag’s prideful design, adorning oversized T-shirts and hoodies with Balmain branding and vintage finishes.
