Heron Preston Centers Creative Freedom With L.E.D. Studio Launch
Coming to life through a multi-faceted ecosystem.

Although Heron Preston is known for his luxury streetwear stylings that incorporate his signature orange hue, the designer’s world is getting a bit bigger with the launch of L.E.D. Studio.
The creative’s new endeavor is a creative studio outfitted with the vision of promoting the utmost sense of freedom. Specifically, the creative studio is suited to offer environmentally equitable products and concepts and comes to life through a series of initiatives. Comprising L.E.D. Studio is a social community (WORLD), a recycling and donation program (EXCESS), a scholarship program (HP L.E.D.), a retail store and a YouTube channel to host a variety of content. SERVICE CENTER, a client-focused creative agency, completes the ecosystem.
“Creativity has the power to change the world; it’s the greatest rebellion in existence,” said Preston. “I believe in meaningful disruption and creating with purpose. L.E.D. Studio is my private art & design practice open to everyone equally, set to enrich our understanding and meaning of how Less Environmentally Destructive concepts can take shape in culturally relevant and relatable ways. It’s my brain’s playground.”
To commemorate its launch, Heron Preston collaborated with Gustavo Barroso, Matt Pecina and Devon Turnbull. The partnership yielded a one-piece low-sitting table crafted from reclaimed cardboard, chairs made from reclaimed hockey sticks in partnership with Studio Guapo and the Ojas turntable, which repurposes vintage Technics 1300 motors.
